I am starting to get hard and showing more in my uper belly what could it be?

I always heard the other way around, that if it's a girl, you carry low, and vice versa for a boy. I am 31 wks pregnant, and I'm low. So for me, it's true. It's a girl. Another old wives tale that is true for me, is the first fetal heart rate. If it's fast, it's a girl and slower for a boy. The first time we heard her heart beat it was 180 (as weeks go on it slows down though). With my son, the heart rate was about 150. So the fetal heart rate was my indicator.

Well, it could be either one. Sorry, but where you're showing isn't really a scientific indicator of whether you're carrying a boy or a girl. You'll either have to get an ultrasound or just wait and be surprised.

Try this: have someone tie a piece of string around the top of a sewing needle, have them slide the needle along side of your left hand, then hold the needle still above the palm of your hand, if the needle sways it's a girl(I think), and if the needle spins, it will be a boy..... but if you already have children it will show those first.

It could possibly be a boy depending on if your belly is high or low belly a girl.

The old wives tale states that if your belly is high it's a girl, if it's low it's a boy, but of course this is not always true.

They always say that you carry lower with a boy and higher with a girl. That's not the case with me. I'm carrying lower and having a little girl.

How you carry doesn't indicate what the sex is going to be.

some say when holding a baby boy and he cries you have a girl, when holding a girl if it cries you're having a boy,
