It's called seeing the good in life and focusing on that, instead of the bad . We all have some bad things in our life . But some of us roll with the changes and others zero-in on the bad things .
I'm alive, I have beautiful gardens in which to relax, and I generally love all people !!
And despite the very many dangers and real problems that we all face, I know that God will eventually take care of everything that we mortals are simply too inadequate to change !!!

What is there to be so unhappy about? You have access to a computer, and you're typing-which means you've got some sort of education, you probably have a roof over your head, and alot more good things going on than you even realize.
I am a liberal, and contrary to what many ill informed conservatives on this site think, I'm not a pot smoker, and I have earned a Master's degree on my own dime.
I believe there is reason to be both happy and hopeful-despite the fear our government attempts to shove down my throat at every turn. Stop listening to our administration or anyone who tells you anything about the doom and gloom we are now facing. Live your life to the best of your ability, and allow the naysayers to wallow in their own misery. I don't have the time for that.

What a question. Nice lead in BTW. Let's see...
Unemployment is at an all time low.
Mortgage rates are still low.
Walmart, McDonalds, Starbucks, Best Buy.
Our economy is the envy of the world.
We're going to win in Iraq.
Freedom of religion
Freedom of speech
Pollution in the US is going down.
The UN announced on October 30, 2006 that between 2000 and 2004 the 41 industrialized signatory countries increased GHG emissions by 2.4%. During this same period the U.S. increased GHG by 1.3%.
Concurrently, the U.S. had vigorous economic growth while the economies of Europe and Japan have been sluggish … making the achievement of the U.S. even more impressive.
Cheer up, the glass is half full, not half empty.

This morning I woke up in a clean dry warm bed, had a filling breakfast, got the kids off to school and then it dawned on me. I woke up in America today, 95% of the world didn't enjoy that privilege, many in the world were chasing mice for breakfast or working on ways to get here. Liberals should take the fact that they woke up in the greatest country on Earth and be happy with that

You can be happy about the fact that, thanks to conservatives, you can afford to buy your Perrier because 40% of your income isn't going to pay taxes.
You can be happy it doesn't take 3 weeks to get an appointment to a doctor (like it does in Canada) under a Universal Health care System.
You can be happy we have the strongest military in the world, with the latest technology that liberals continuously try to defund.
You can be happy I still own a handgun and an "assault" rifle to protect your rights to be a liberal.

You're alive, healthy and was not born in a 3rd world country where the idea of you posting this question on the internet, a) would never have been possible because your house is even lucky to have 1 working light bulb and b) the country you were born in is under an oppressive regime.
Happy? I know I sure am!
