It costs no money(thank you youtube and the public library) and is about believing that you have control over your own life. That's it. What's wrong with that?

I'm not against the Secret, but I prefer Old Spice.

xtains say that it is against god. It promotes free thinking and takes our destination in our own hands. When people turn to something new like this it takes the attention away from god. They of course don't like that. How are the masses going to be controlled if they are not afraid of burning in hell?
I think that thinking positively is great. Negative thinking never gets anyone anywhere. But be realistic. We can try to improve our lives but most of us cannot have it all. And how can the secret help the abused, the third world countries, those that are inslaved, those that have terminal illnesses, etc.?
I am all for trying to take control of our own lives as much as we can. But this really is nothing new. Most people just never think about it. It is probably o.k. to look into it and try to apply it to everyday life but it is never good to get all absorbed in these things. Keep grounded.

There is nothing wrong with that,,I believe it is just its like a cult it has a huge following. I bought the Secret myself and its just another form of a movement that was discovered with Creative visualization...its the same..and there were books and books about that. Creative visualization, you are what you believe you are,,and setting the stage like it has already happened. So its basically the same basic rules as the Secret. Its not a Secret its the unspoken rules of those that have succeeded..so its all good....

We all have the control we need in our lives weather we believe it or not and having and knowing you have control of your life is the most precious gift we can have. there is nothing wrong with that, however, I may be confusing if "The Secret" is a book or show or whatever. Take care Heather

It's NOT about having control over your life - it's about having control over the universe.... just by thinking positive, happy thoughts! If you actually read it, you would know that.

well, all i've seen is trailers, but the trailers look ridiculous and i feel like the author probably has nothing new or interesting to say but has somehow managed to generate buzz and will make money.
