I'm 25 weeks pregnant right now...And I know 12 different people who are pregnant. AND I see about 2 pregnant women each day. This is no exaggeration either...EVERYDAY. I feel like the whole world is having a population boom...does that seem like it to you or is it just me?

I know exactly what you mean. Before two of my girlfriends had their babies I knew 15 people who were pregnant, all due between February and June. I see pregnant people all over the place, and there is this neighborhood that was on the news and 70% of the women are pregnant!!!

Oh yeah, I am 16 weeks with my second child and i have seen soooo many pregnant ladies in the past couple of months. I think you seem to notice more pregnant people when you are pregnant. But before I was even experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, I knew I was just because of how many pregnant ladies I noticed. I think it is funny how a womans brain works, lol.

Now that you are pregnant you are more aware of other pregnancies. I remember that when I was pregnant all I could see everywhere I went were pregnant ladies, and after giving birth all I could notice were people with newborns everywhere. It's some kind of hypersensitivity to people in your situation, maybe?

That being said, it's probably becoming somewhat more hip to have babies due to how it's suddenly "so cool" and fascinating for celebrities to have babies - they've all totally jumped the bandwagon on this, and tabloids are obsessed with it. Therefore it might be encouraging more, and different, couples to have children, couples that are usually not so inclined to, like unmarried couples, very young couples, etc.

As soon as I found out that I was pregnant, about 6 of my cousins got pregnant. My Dad says "It's something in the Water!!"

I know exactly what your talking about. I think it's because we notice others more when we are pregnant compared to when we are'nt. Like just getting a new car, you dont notice a certain vehicle until you have one, then you are looking at all of them and comparing.

i don't think it that fact that we are pregnant so we notice it more, i really think there is a baby boom I've noticed it for about 1.5 years now. in my building there are three pregnant women on my floor

It seems like that doesn't it? My guess is that when you are pregnant or wanting to be pregnant you naturally notice others in the same condition more readily.

It's normal. You just notice now because you are expecting. I'm 22 weeks and I feel your pain.
