Ihave the wireless router. Right now the internet is connection by ethernet from the modem to the laptop.

If you have the router, then you probably have the wireless card that goes with the router. I have a lap top too. And I have wireless internet. You must first configure your wireless router to your internet modem, then once your wireless router can understand your internet modem, you will have a wireless network. Only watch out for other people(neighbors) trying to get on your network. Some internet providers, only provide a certain amount of Megabyte downloads. Then they charge you for anything over this amount. Configure your wireless router to a WEP encryption code. Then noone can log into your wireless without that WEP code.

the manual should tell you but
you need a wireless router which has a modem in it OR you can connect your modem to your router.
connect the wires up, then on your laptop try to get a wireless network signal, connect then go to the internet browser config page usually by entering your first IP address.

If you have a wireless card in the laptop then you can use internet connections sharing to let other devices connect to the wireless in the laptop...

your laptop should have a pc slot on it it is useually on the side of the laptop. you can buy a wireless adapter for the laptop using the slot. They vary in price depending on what range and speed you want the connection. check out local eletronic store both in person and online.
