A bit vague, but I'll try,
If you can, keep an eye on the financial health of your company. Little things, like, all of a sudden you don't get supplies, or a larger # of calls for accts payable. When you were due for a raise, did you get one?
These can be indicators that all is not well.
See a larger number of people leaving? Why? There is always some turnover, but
if some key people suddenly "leave", beware.
Now, as for you. Was there an important memo sent out recently, one which you should have receieved but did not. I worked for a company, where if this happened, it was their subtle way of dropping a hint that you might want to find another job.
Is your boss suddenly more detached from you that he's been?? Time to brush up your resume.
In fact, you should periodically update your resume, "just in case,"
If all ofa sudden everybody's morale drops likea rock, time to move on.
---
PS I've been there. I worked in a 5 man division, and suddenly there were more and more calls for accounts payable.

Everyone's job is at risk these days. There are no more jobs where you join a company in your 20's and stay there until retirement.
Technology, globalization, and competitive/price pressures force companies to maintain the most competitive business practices possible. The concept of loyalty between employer and employee has been lost in most corporations. This can be good in that it forces employees to constantly update their skills, but it is also a factor in a "pay for talent" environment where the most highly-sought employees jump ship for a few more $$.
