Your lawyer should be handling the bill issues - IF he/she is not find someone who will. Make sure that they have filed a case of some nature on your behalf, this indicates your intentions on getting the medical care you need. Depending on your states W/C laws, they may not be able to stop paying for injury related items unless they are disputing the treatments ( your doctors should still be billing the W/C carrier). In this case, the attorney should be trying to get you in front of a hearing board of some nature under a refusal of treatment type thing. There is a difference in disputed treatments and refusing treatments. I think that your doctor has to indicate that you have reached MMI- Maximum Medical Improvement before the W/C carrier can just stop paying and deny everything at that point. Regardless whether you are still employed by the place where the accident occurred or not does not relieve them from the responsibility of your medical treatments.

You are paying your attorney, they would not have taken your case if you did not have a claim. Make them work for it.

It completely depends on the details which you haven't provided. If I was you, I would file a grievence with the labor board if you felt your firing was unjust and illegal. Also, if your injury was caused by neglect.
