1. Slovenia and Slovakia are not poor. Check the GDP and HDI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovenia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovakia
3. Serbia, Montenegro and Kazakhstan are richer than Africa (browse it in Wikipedia and compare HDI and GDP per capita)
4. India is poor but it has a great development potential, though there are some humanitarian projects in progress over there.
5. What are Roma countries? Never heared of that...
Unsless you mean Roma minorities across Europe. Then the USA could be called a Ghetto country or an Amish country.
6. African countries are the least developed in the World and they are the poorest. A great percentage of Africans doesn't have access to clean water, starvation and draught are common.
Have a look at the HDI list: Seychelles and Mauritius are the highest ranking African countries and they aren't even part of continental Africa:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index
Then look at the lowest ranking countries: almost all are African countries.

Major issues with this continent. Major issues. The United States has vested interest in Africa. Political, and economical. You're right, there are other countries that are just as poor but don't receive nearly half of the media attention.

I agree with you that there are other countries who are suffering just as bad, BUT Africa is a continent with all their countries being poor. When you have that many poor countries in the same region/area it becomes a huge concern.

If people focused on other countries then it would show the world, that not only blacks and africans have a hard time maintaining their country. It would prove that everybody has issue to deal with. It would also make the issue of skin color frivilous and those who discriminate look even more ridiculous.* hint robert s*

Africa has only recently been focused on. I feel Africa has been sadly neglected till recently. HIV is rampant so there thousands of orphaned children. I believe they have been ravaged by war, injustice and neglect and its about time it has its due time. Trust me other countries will as well be focused in due time. Africa was sadly neglected till now. Good to hear something is being done.

THANKYOU!!!
im serbian and my grandma moved here because theres SLAVERY going on in serbia, the serbian people are being enslaved by the albanians
and no one gives a $hit!
and america didnt even help the poor civilians after they bombed them
i think ms is kinda right our country is so selfish theyre ashamed to show people of other races poor and living in slavery, they want to potray that image on black people.
i think our races could relate better if we showed them the true lower europe.

I have no clue at all. The problems in Africa will never be solved, they think whites gave them Aids so they don't trust condoms, the women are ruled by the men and if they don't want a condom then the woman has no choice in the matter. They have tons of children to watch them all die in the hopes that one will make it. I think money would be much better spent here in the US helping the elderly, children, the homeless and the hungry.
