My kenmore refrigerator has water (ice) in the bottom of the freezer and then drips water all over in the fridge. The fridge is only about 3 years old. It has an ice maker but i dont think the water is coming from it because it does it when it is off. I pull the panel at the back of the freezer off and the coils had about 1/3 frost on them and there is a tray under them that was full of ice and overflowing into freezer. I didnt see any drain or drain holes to the tray. Sometimes it will go a few days without leaking and then all of a sudden there is water all over. Any help? Thanks.

There should be a rubber drain hose on the outside back of the unit leading to a drain pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. If this hose is plugged, the water from the auto defrost will not drain out and will freeze in the tray under the coils. You will have to manually defrost the freezer to get at the top end of the drain hose. Provided the icemaker is not leaking a plugged drain could be your problem.
