My signifigant other and I disagree on what is the first thing you think of when you hear the word "prophylactic" Phonicically is sounds like "Profolactic." She thinks most people would think the word meant " A preventive measure." I think most people would think of "condoms". So I ask what do you all think it means?

I think condoms... I suppose it could mean any device that is worn but would exclude pills or surgery.
