I would have thought that the courts would have notified him with a certified letter, or she would have had to place an add in the paper if she didn't know where he was (although it sounds like she knows). He very well may know. He may be paying the extra bills either because he was court ordered to do so, agreed to, or wants to. He will have to pay child support until the child is 18 no matter what. I wouldn't worry about it.

He would have been sent papers showing the court date, what makes you think he doesn't know. If attorney's were involved, he knows, if he has an address where he gets mail, he knows. Just because you went to court with her, doesn't mean it's over, he still would have papers to complete and sign, custody issues etc. I think she is playing with you, what are you losing.

this is confusing.
i don't think a wife can get a divorce, without the husband signing the divorce papers... so it's probably impossible to be divorced and not know it?

No Way it's none of your business.....lol It is up to her to inform him. And where do you live because he would have to sign any papers that she got to divorce him. In most states even an uncontested divorce has to be agreed upon by both parties.

the divorce cant be finalized until he signs papers otherwise there would be alot more divorces... it would be better if he finds out on his own versus someone telling him "so did you know your wife divorced you?" he would hate her even more if he knew other people knew and he was the last to know well thats my guess.

Don't they have to make an attempt to locate him first? And he has to sign off saying he doesn't want to be "involved" with the divorce, saying he doesn't want to show up and stuff? I didn't know that you can divorce someone without them ever knowing, that sounds kinda creepy.

How in the world doesn't he know? Didn't he get the copy of the divorce papers? I wouldn't tell him either.

i would chat with your ex gf and suggest her to tell the truth that you found out that her current hubby doesn't know. say it in a nice way so she understand that you won't tell cause it's not your business, but sooner or later her hubby will find out other ways so it's better for her to tell him personally. and just gently add that ...in case it slips out your tongue also. ^_^
