You don't have to give him notice if he has asked you to leave by a certain date. Just make sure that you have his request for you to move out in writing. It is required by law that he give you this notice in writing. Should any problem arise, you can use this as proof of mutual notice of your date to vacate the premises.
If you are asking this because he has asked you to leave really soon and you are hoping that you are allowed a few weeks notice, then that depends on more factors. If he is asking you to leave with less than three weeks notice for you to vacate your apartment, then he may not be able to do that to you depending on the circumstances. I would need to know more to help you with that. Namely I would need to know the city (because lanlord tenant laws are very different per municipality) and I would need to know his grounds for asking you to leave.
Also, make sure that you get your interest back on your deposit when you move out! Most people don't know that your security deposit accrues interest that you are owed when you move out! There's lots of other stuff you can get back too! Check out your local landlord tenant laws in your local municiple code. These can all be found online.
Good luck!

Depends on where you live. Did you sign a lease? Some cities are strict, like Los Angeles other like Houston are more lenient. Call a local renters rights group in your area, they can give you an answer.
Also, you can leave whenever you want, you just can't stop paying the rent when you want.

From what I undestand you are supposed to give your landlord at least 28 days notice before leaving your dwelling but thats here in California, maybe other states have different laws. Look it up online under your states laws. I am sure you'll get the correct time frame there.

no. no notice is given to the landlord. you have a month to month tenant agreement. he has stated he wants you out.
if you wanted to move out ,you must give him 30 days notice of leaving.
he has given you thirty day notice to leave but in actuality he must take you to court. only the judge can order for you out of the premises.

The landlord's notice probably specifies when he wants you out by.

If its a month to month rental agreement and YOUR leaving the apt. you should give 30 days notice.
If the landlord is telling you to leave, he also should be giving
YOU 30 days notice. In writing would be nice. :o

Your grammar is terrible, so it's hard to understand what you are really asking.
If he wants you out, he can ask you but you have legal recourse for a reasonable amount of time. The amount of notice to be given to you should be outlined in the lease, which may vary depending on if he just wants you to go, or if you are behind on rent.
If YOU want to leave, you have to give him the amount of notice set out in your lease agreement.
