my friend is lookin in buyin one but he wants the faster of the two...can ya please help

Saleen has many different options...If he goes with the "base" Saleen...The Cobra will be faster. If he goes with the more modified Saleen, then the Saleen would definitely be faster. Just have him research what he really wants within he given price range. Also have him look at the different cost between the two.......how much extra money will he have if he buys the Cobra and modifies with the money saved. Not to mention-Cobra has a very strong heritage and you can build your own creation of an awesome machine.

The saleen is nothing but a body kit ( though it looks badass) theres really no mustang that will beat the 03-04 Cobra for the money or power. I've whopped all kinds of saleen's in my 03 cobra.

Poor little rich boy! Who cares if one is a hundredth of a second quicker than the other; they're both ugly as sin and as impractical as you can expect any roadworthy car to be!
It's driver ability that counts, not what's under the hood; at least in my experience (I've been driving and racing for nearly fifty three years!) If your friend really wants to waste his money on one of the Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) "shotrods", I'd tell him to opt for the Saleen! At least it has that neat sunscreen thing on the windshield, so everybody will know what kind of a**h*** buys one of those slugs!

Who cares which one is faster? I'd get the cobra because of the teksid motor. That motor is a completely built bottom end that can handle tons of aftermarket without a rebuild (read: forged internals).
