Hmm, I'd say 32. Because you are out of your twenties and just beginning your thirties. So I still have time!

You know this is a very good question and I've given it some thought and what I feel is, it all depends on how the person was treated and nurtured from birth.
Some parents are very controlling and do not let their children make choices, mistakes etc. Instead they tell them what to do all the time. Other parents allow their children to make mistakes and learn for themselves. They allow the children their own choices.
So I think that if a child is raised the latter way, they are more likely to 'find themselves' at an earlier age. Some as early as their teens, but definitely by their mid 20's.
Other people may never find themselves, or if they do, they are well into their 30s or 40s.
Once people are able to let go of parental expectations then they are more likely to 'find themselves' and choose what they really want out of life.
And that's what I think.
Hope you understand, and what I'm saying rings true.

I "found myself" at 8 or so. Ever since then, I have been living, to the best of my ability, according to my own moral compass, occasionally to my parents' chagrin. But it was their doing, by instilling early in me a sense of individuality and responsibility.
How telling that the average answer here seems to be around 30 or so.
I'm very unsurprised at Norm's answer. Ever read his questions/answers? The guy has obviously not completely "found" himself.

I think it depends of each individuals experiences in life... some find themselves sooner and are forced to grow up sooner where others just don't :) It will happen one day... but sooner then later? Hard to narrow it to one age.

Bill, i am in my 60's and haven't found all of me yet, and i don't care if i don't. There are new things to learn about everyday, in this new hi-tech world. I love it. I believe if one chooses to be happy everyday, you will learn something about yourself on a regular basis, I haven't stopped growing mentally, spiritually, culturally, or in the realization something new is just around the sun rise. Love life and you will find yourself soon enough. GM

In this country? Friggin never. They're too caught up in materialism. Who has time to question life when they're ipod is up their *** and Brittney is showing her goods?
That being said, for me it started at 13. But completed around 25.

Nowadays, almost never, but people convince themselves in their 30s, that they find who the really are, because society's demands say so.

I'd say 30. Young enough to not yet be completely jaded, and old enough to have some life experience and semi-solid opinions and values.
