I don't know about trustworthy, or credible, but hypocrisy is the great American pass time.

What do you mean by "exclude them from being trusted or credible?" Do you mean that it would be sufficient to impeach him as a witness in a court trial?
The standard for impeachment of a witness would be conviction of a "crimen falsi", such as perjury, subornation of perjury, forgery, and other crimes of deceit.
Just the fact that a person is a hypocrite should not have any bearing on whether or not they might be a good witness absent any conviction of a crimen falsi.
However, just to cover all bases, it appears that you might want to know whether or not you should, in your own personal life, consider a person trustworthy or credible because he may be a proven hypocrite. Your choice. Trust whoever you will -- the courts have a different standard.

Being a hypocrite is conditional. That is, one can be hypocritical in one area of their life but consistent in another.
Usually, that is not the case. As such, if someone is hypocritical it can reasonably be argued that they cannot be trusted or credible.

No. I would argue that because someone was absent minded in such and such situation and they were proven to be hypocritical, then I would say they can still be trusted, just with more scrutiny.

You say proven hypocrite as if there is such a thing.
We've all been hypocrites at some point or another.

At one time or another, we all are hypocrites. It just depends on how big the offense was to you.

No.
Statements are true or false, irrespective of who utters them.
I try to discuss the statements and issues, not speakers and personalities.
