Why wont the media just let things go. I mean they always make a big lead up to some report be it business wise like housing sales or the subprime loans or internet bubble or today's Anna Nicole Smith autopsy which right or wrong better or worse rules her death an accident yet almost all media reports still run with the underlineing put of their articles being that it was foul play & thus the reports are wrong. I don't believe it either but why dont they just let it go & move on to something else I mean if they have other "evidence" then ok but bring it forward yet they arent why do they insist on just making or twisting what they think is news & yet claim to be honest & independant of politics, religion, or the law. If a company did something like this with say financial statements they would be sued & fined & all sorts of stuff yet the media isnt touched & my question is why.

I think the reason why the media isn't touched is because no one has really pushed it far enough to stop them from their lies, deceit and twisted little theories that some of the stuff they print is news because it's obvious that most of the stuff that hits the public is usually twisted garbage that needs to be ran through a shredder. I don't want to be rude and say that all are like this but most do twist a lot of peoples words, lives, images and the list goes on and on but if someone who knew that half of this stuff was untrue would get in their pocket. They may think twice before they print false information. As for Anna Nicole Smith they've already stated what she's died from my God let her rest in peace and i hope everyone really stops trying to sift a story out of every little thing that supposedly comes out about her.

The quick answer to that is that the mostly liberal media twist facts because they don't care and they figure the ends justify the means. If they can get away with a lie, they will try.
Now, as for the Anna Nicole thing, they want to keep pursuing that because it is not news, but it is dirt. And as long as people keep wanting dirt, the media will shovel it.

Makes money, job security. True or false, people love gossip. Look at all the celebrity gossip tabloids in the supermarkets.

Because they are greedy and there are enough ignorant people that watch, read, and listen to the BS. They would not if there was not an audience to pander to.
