I think she will do it if she can.
That means we get to pay premium prices for an HMO style health care, an extra level of government bureaucracy to manage it, and your health care decisions get to be made by people with the same caring and commitment to customer service as can be found at your local DMV.
You decide if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Universal health care in the United States is long overdue, and just one of many serious issues the neo-con run Federal government have ignored over the years. Hillary, Obama, Edwards or the cartoon logo of the donkey, it doesn't matter who the Democratic party nominates, the Democratic candidate is the lesser of two evils. The Republican party has sold America's soul to the corporate devil, and robbed the general public blind. Neo-con politics have us on the brink of both World War 3 and an industrial collapse of our economy at the same time and it doesn't seem anybody notices.
A modern country cannot support it's population or equip it's military without a strong domestic industrial base, and the corporate serving Federal government, (both libs and cons I remember who signed NAFTA & GATT) have been selling out the American people since Reagan. It will end eventually when the country collapses under the weight of the corruption, and unfortuantely in appears to be happening sooner rather than later. Health care is a start, but much more must be addressed, starting with the trade of high paying Union jobs for low paying subsistence level jobs.

Very usa has some great medical doctors yet many folk can not have the money for them. Plus, US drugs concentrates strongly on scientific care while socialized drugs focuses greater so on prevention and scientific care. Socialized drugs could be an staggering selection for the final public of the voters that can not have the money for to purchase into the present device. have you ever been to a sanatorium? i attempted to get some scientific suggestion and that they cautioned a cut back ... lol. Too many folk can not have the money for any scientific options. the people answering this question that have no concerns approximately how they handle their well being care because of the fact they are insured (the two because of the fact it rather is on the market by way of their corporation or they are able to have the money for to pay for it) are obtrusive.

Clinton tried her plan when Bill was in the Whitehouse. Even the Democrats wanted no part of her socialized medicine nightmare. That was only one of the worst moves the Clintons made. Another was the largest tax hike in American history. If she wins we'll probably get both again.

I think it's a viable idea. Something has to be done about the health care crisis in this country. She has many supporters in both Houses in regard to this intention. She also is being very careful about forming a plan until she examines all of the pitfalls from her initial effort during her husband's stay in office, the pitfalls that other countries have experienced, and the views of people around the country on this subject. It will be a combination of public and private funding, that is well known. Before I jump to judgment on this I'll wait to hear her detailed plan, which should be forthcoming fairly soon. It isn't as if she will declare "this is what shall be" and it will just happen. It will require careful examination and approval from the majority of our representatives. I have to shake my head at those who scream "Socialist!" at the top of their voices. They seem to think a government controlled program, not much different than our Social Security Program, will throw us into some kind of political crisis and threaten our democratic republic. They remind me of Chicken Little crying "The sky is falling, the sky is falling." I think instead I'll use my head and wait until a fully formed plan is presented to the American people.

I think in theroy the universal health care plan would be awesome. But, when it comes down to it, would it pass and would it really be as good as it sounds, etc... I think people just have so many questions about it.
You can't just say Hillary proposes a universal health care plan, if elected and expect people to get up and jump for her, we need to know how this would really work, if it would really work.

I think it is a idea whose time is well past due. I have been doing a little research into this area, did you know that America is number 1 in the cost of health care in the entire world. Now for this it would seem that we should have the best health care on earth don't it. Surprise we are ranked number 14 in quality of care. (World Health Organization) Economically it is killing the US to compete with country's that have it. The CEO of GM has said that $1500 of every new car sold went to the cost of health care for its employee's This is added unto every new car sold, I would assume that this can be projected to include many other industry's. That's American jobs moving away from these cost so they can compete in a global market. Currently 45 to 47 million Americans do not have access to affordable health care, so they let things go until they are much more costly to treat. The number 1 reason for home foreclosures is a health care bill that cannot be paid any other way. I mean it is ect. ect. ect. why UHC is needed in the United States.

She's full of crap, if it worked well then Canadian and Europeans wouldn't come here for their surgeries and transplants. Look at the teeth of the Brits, that system isn't working people. Get an education, get a college degree, and stop holding your hand out!! If working for minimum wage is never going to cut it, then stay in school, get yourself educated so you CAN pay for your own insurance and earn a decent living! Jeez, it's not that hard to figure out!

I think given a second chance at healthcare reform she can probably make it happen! I'm not even a huge Hillary fan but I did read her biography and learned a lot about her efforts to push thru healthcare reform as first lady.
Whoever gets in there I hope they make it a priority. :)

A big scam to get folks' vote. Who do you think really ran the White house back years ago, when Clinton was president? Do you really want to go back doing this, all over again. While Bill was in the oval office, with his cigars and stuff. Hillary was the one who ran the show then, and wanting to do it again.
There will never be a woman president, so she needs to sit back and take the load off.
