Me and my hubby just started trying to conceive 2 months ago but I been tracking all my fertility signs(CM,BD).I never had regular periods,my cycles are 53 days long but I am ovulating on cycle day 38. I know women that got pregnant have only 1-4 periods a year.My husband is healthy all the way and I have anemia but I'm taking prenatal vitamins now.My period was always very heavy but only 5 days long until my last period on March 16 when I just started prenatal vitamins 15 days prior to that.It was still 5 days long but every day was much lighter than usual. Do you think the vitamins can help me conceive?

No, they won't help you conceive.

You take pre-natal vitamins when trying to get pregnant for the sole purpose of benefiting the baby once you do conceive.

Vitamins CAN help conception, but only if your overall diet is good. If your primary diet is fast food or instant food, then a vitamin isn't really going to help. Some reproduction specialists now recommend following Dr. Brewer's Pregnancy diet (it's too high in calories for the non-pregnant woman, so you may need to cut it back a little) for women who may have nutritional issues. Here's a link to the site, but the page for the diet seems to be down today. If you do a search on Google for Dr. Brewer Diet, it's on some other pages as well.

Some gals have very strange cycles and can get pregnant easily. Good luck!

The vitamins won't help you conceive, but they will make you (and your baby) healthier. It sounds like they've helped your anemia (the iron in them will help that), which is a great bonus! It's only been 2 months, so that's not too long (though it can feel like forever!). I'd keep taking the vitamins, to help your body get ready for pregnancy. And keep taking them while you're pregnant, too! (Anemia won't affect your chances at conception, but it's definitely no fun to have, and the healthier the better is what I always say!)

Okay sounds like you need to talk to your dr about conception. But I have a something for you to try a vitamin product that helped us conceive three times. It is at the Fredericksburg peach basket in fredericksburg texas. You will have to look up that and then on the website try Michaels reporductive factor. It is an awesome prenatal vitamin to try as well as it boost your conception chances as well. Hope this helps. :)

yes they say that prenatal vitamins do help when it comes to conception. they will also make your hair healthier and your skin as well. if your period was getting lighter and lighter that is also a sign of pregnacy but i wouldn't go run out and get a prego test i would just keep trying and if your period is still light next month or you don't have one at all i would def go an get a prego test. Good luck!!!!

No, they do not help with conception. But I'm glad you are on them BEFORE you get pregnant. The folic acid will prevent soooo many birth defects if they in your system before conception. Good luck!

Yes, kinda. By being healthy it will make it easier for the preganancy to take and for your body not to reject the fetus. Take care of yourself now and it will be easier. Not to mention better for the baby as well.

Yes and no. The way that they will help you to get pregnant is that when you're healthy, your chances of getting pregnant are higher.
