My neighbor has forced air in a mobile home. The power went out this morning. Now it's back on, but the heater will not turn on.

Does anyone know anything about heaters, and can give advice. This is all the information I have. (sorry)

She checked the breakers/fuse box. There was a button to push, and she did that...still no heat.

Sorry, the button she pushed was not in the fuse box. It was somewhere else in the house. She checked the switches in the fuse box and they were all fine.

The power outage was due to a line down, in the neighborhood.

that button in the fuse box.... it must be pushed off completely then on again. try it a few times--after shutting it off, wait a moment before pushing it On again.

Is there anything else on the box or the heater like a RESET button?
.....

I may be splitting hairs here BUT ....even if the fuse box button/switch LOOKS FINE, it could be off the mark just a little--mine does that--LOOKS fine but it has actually slipped just a bit off of the full ON spot.

SO, she should push it off & then back Full On again just to be sure.

ALSO, when my outside transformer was hit by a car, it blew out my microwave & overhead kitchen light.... they were all completely dead due to the great surge, so like someone said, the heater MAY have been blown. In my case, the offender's insurance replaced & repaired my damage, so she should file a claim if possible.

The actuall heater may be damaged, that could be the reason for the power outage.

In a house trailer, there are usually two more breakers in the furnace for the compressor, or heat pump. They all need to be shut off, then back on.
