does the x-box 360 play most x-box games?

I'm thinking of buying one but I'm 14 and have to earn my own money so i wanna be able to play all my old games.

Check this list.
Be sure you have the Harddisk for your 360. Since the old Xbox1 had a Harddrive, the games will need it. If you only have the core system, you need to buy a harddrive.

Furthermore you need a connection to Xbox Live (free Silver is enough) to download the Emulator.

If the game is not on the list below, it won't work properly.
