What's after that then? Because as we know it's all about what ever is easier. And people always wnat whats' easier. So after marriage, what do think is next on the chopping block?

next they will go 2 - free 4 all. Couples with couples, wife swapping, family orgies, where will it end? when there is no human left on earth. It is easy 2 quit a relationship but it takes a mature, caring and determined person 2 push forward an deal with the bad as well as the good. There will always be people that want easy but there also always b people who stand 4 something and think it is worth investing your luv into one person. Hold on i no it seems hopeless but one person can make a difference.

Luckily Marriage is not on it's last legs. That must just be withthe people your hanging around with.

Marriage is a wonderful thing, and a true commitment. It is one of the hardest, but most rewarding, commitments there are. More rewarding than a "career" which may go under even after 30 years of commitment. A marriage takes two; two to understand, communicate, and try to make it as happy as it can be. Is is a lot of work, and the pay offs are fantastic.

Live-in relationships are ok too, but there's no commitment. After, say,15 years, the man wants a younger woman (or vise versa), they can leave with out any tadoo... luckily in a marriage, there's more at stake and people don't leave on just a whim. Another advantage of marriage.

I think there will be a swing back to marriage ....once people learn to choose more carefully .... I think people were afraid to marry because so many marriages ended in divorce .... divorces are not only expensive because of the legal fees and the financial settlements, but they are hard on everyone...and if there are children, it is really hard....

So.....if people thought carefully about who they are marrying and if it really will work out, that would be better ..... but first:
1 know who you are
2 know your prospective bride / groom
3 figure out what it is that you must have in order for the marriage to work: stable financial situation, families get along together, similar ideas on religion and children .... etc ..

Marriages are failing because people are living longer. Human beings were never intended to live together for so long and in the past usually one would die and solve the problem. I have been married to my one & only for almost 33 years. It just seems longer.
