Thinking of buying a patio heater, can anyone recommended a good one

Mage, I've had one for three years, I don't recommend the large gas type, they don't give out enough heat, OK if you are standing under it, but if you are sitting, a slight breeze blows the heat away, try a Chiminea, I think they are much better!

I have had a Chiminea for the past 3 years and I love it I got it from www.castironchimineas.co.uk and its been great. Just brought it out the shed for the summer at the weekend, really looking forward to getting it going again! The chimney part comes off ours so you can use it as a small barbecue.

Hi ive had a gas heater and a Chiminea the gas is cleaner but not very good at giving of heat, I use the chiminea more and you get the smell of burning wood.

My daughter has one that looks like a fire pit, it is bricks red cinders in the center and it uses propane.
