Anyone else experiencing sudden reduced speeds with BT Internet?

I've emailed them and they asked me to delete all my internet files etc, but it's made no difference.

Any ideas?

Yes this is the same at night, as when they have just increased option 3 to unlimited more people are downloading large files.

I work for BT and we are under going a huge exchange investment so you should get some higher speeds soon.

yeah it happens during evening, as the whole block is using the internet, so the speeds have to be reduced for each household to make everyone have equal speeds. there not much they or you can do, its the way it is.

best time to get the fastest speeds from 2am-1pm when there are less people using the interent.

other things you can try are to change the settings on your firewall, if your on wireless make it secure and have a strong signal.

It happens from time to time , but whatever you do dont do what those BT idiots tell you !!
