I wear sandal and trainers with long gypsy skirts, denim and even my knee length corduary one, and usually a t-shirt (guy one or top) and it looks good.
I have a couple of solild kinda office style skirts which look good with a shirta prob with foot wear though
Its just my flowly full skirts i have a prob with. Anyone got any good advice of what to wear, i dun want look like a girl, i just like to wear there clothes.
PS dresses to, i have a dark brown jersey dress looks ok on, if was at a table you would not know, but would not mind getting a few more, any tips

I think you are right to stick with fabrics that are not too flowy and probably muted tones will look best on you. You're probably getting stuck on the flowy skirts because there is really no men's footwear out there that is going to look good with that kind of a skirt. I like to wear high heels with my flowy skirts to maximize the shape of my legs and also to balance out the volume of the skirt with some extra height, but it doesn't sound like heels are an option for you. If you still want to wear the flowy skirts, though, I think flip-flops will work best for you. Just pick a neutral color like black, which should go with all colors.

As for dresses, I think a nice button-down shirtdress would look good on you, because they always make me look sort of masculine and flat-chested, but that obviously won't be a problem for you. Try to get dresses in women's plus sizes, even if you're a thin guy, because I am assuming you are taller than the average woman, and the fabric will drape much better if there is more of it.

Way to go, dude! I admire your individuality.

Ok, for semi crossdressers like me I would recommend knee length always, denim, circle, a-line, pleated and even long skirts always with hosiery, but never the cheap kind like the junk at Walmart. As for shoes, you should wear something subtle, say black or tan sneaker wedges, wedge boots and leather boots with decent chunky heels as well. The idea is to be comfortable, not gawdy -- sorry RuPaul, but most of us crossdressers don't want to stand out in a crowd too much -- and a male polo shirt or even a men's shirt with a tie and a hoodie or a pullover. The more subtle and normal you look among the other girls the better you will both feel and the easier you will be to accept in society overall...

The world is changing...one skirt at a time...

Pleated skirts are best for most guys. Sticking with neutral colors and solids or subdued prints are best, too. Some nice brown sandals and a T-shirt or button-down shirt complete it.

Guys tend not to have the hips (or want the earth-mother look) for full, long, flowing skirts. And skirt suits tend to look silly -- after all, they are a female version of a mens fashion staple.

Glad to see you can express wear skirts to work -- some people can be so narrow minded about these things. Truth be told, there are a lot of guys who would look really great in skirts were they not so frightened of them.

Guys don't look good in pencil skirts (office skirts). They look better in mini-skirts. Get some that are knit for added comfort. Also to try- pleated skirts. The key in looking good in a skirt is finding the best SHIRT to go with it, so look into some form-fitting t-shirts or maybe a baby-doll top.

I think you should wear some nice short rara skirts with polka dots!!! And matching flip flops or dolly shoes! And a nice blouse or zip up!!! But a word of advice i dont think long gypsy skirts go with trainers! Maybe you could get a pretty fitted jacket not too girly! I think darker colours are a bit more manly too if you dont want to really look girlie! V^_^V I think it is amazing to be so unique and not follow the crowd! Men should wear skirt!!!!!!! Its like girls now wear pants! Men wear thongs..... Girls wear boxers! Men wear skirts now! :D Be Proud!

Are you looking for footwear or shirt advice here? As for footwear, try not to expose hairy toes. Wax if you have to wear sandals. With shirts, don't wear conflicting patterns. Try for complementary colors, and nothing that poofs out at the waist if it's tucked in.
