how do u make it so that people can only become your friends if they know your last name?

Everyone has. That's the whole point. Myspace is a social networking website. People always want to meet new people.

Go to "Account Settings", then go to "Privacy Settings", select "Friend Requests - Require email or last name", click on "Change settings". And you are done.

Yeah - quite a few times. Some people are just in a competition to have the most friends as possible on their profile. There are only 2 people on my friends list that I haven't actually met. One chick I met on here and the other chick just moved to this military base and she's cool so I'm sure I'll meet her down the road...

a lot of people do that, and most the time, it's a bunch of pervs - or publicists, just be careful w/it and if you want, go in the privacy settings and make it so the only people that can contact you is people that atleast know your last name or email. Be careful.
