when a guy asks you to dinner (or as a guy, if you ask a girl to dinner) does the food you (or she) order, mean anything.
(as a guy) do you pay attention to what she orders, or is eating.......... (what would you want her to do........ salad, meal, or does it not make a difference?)

I think that is doesn't matter what you order as long as you eat it. I think most of the guys like the girl who can handle food in her stomach.

And it's true just don't order anything more expensive that your date, just in case lol.

I want her to get what she WANTS even if it is the most expensive thing on the menu. If I take someone on a date, I want to pamper them and treat them like a Goddess, so if I can't afford it I won't go there to begin with.

The only thing I get self-conscious about is ordering something (like soup) that will arrive before my date has anything, that doesn't feel right. One time I was with a co-worker and did exactly that, and because I wanted to wait until we both had food, I kept stirring the soup and not eating it. The waiter came over and asked me if anything was wrong with the soup. That was embarrassing!

I do tend to pay attention to what they order. I like a man with a healthy appetite, but my stomach churns if he orders seafood (particularly the type where their little eyes stare at you from the plate) or rare meat.

I order what I know I will eat and enjoy. First dates are not the time to try new dishes!

My dating days are long over, but I would never order anything more expensive than what my date ordered. I would never want to take advantage of him inviting me out. I just think that is good ettiquette.
