I put my Sims 2 CD into my desktop computer. When I was done playing, I wanted to eject the CD. My computer made a guzzling noise, and the when the CD tray ejected, my CD was gone!

What's going on... and how can I get my CD back?

The disk has been trapped inside the drive, it apparently came of the tray while it was ejected. If you are handy, you can open the PC and remove the CD-Rom drive. You will then need to open the drive to retreieve your disc. This will void the warranty on your cd-rom drive though. But it sounds like it needs to be replaced anyways. If you dismantle the drive to get your disc, get a new one from your local PC store to put back in the PC. Better safe than sorry.

on the front of CD drives there is often a small little pinhole. (it fairly is often on the area of the force that truthfully ejects once you press the eject button.) At any fee, that is for mechanical ejection. With the laptop off, insert something small and slender (like a paperclip) into the hollow, and this ought to activate a mechanical ejection of the disc.

it`s trapped at the back of the drive. close the tray door. tilt your computer forward and give it a little shake. try open it now.

if this wont work take to the repair man

Feed it more often. Less likely to eat CDs.

Don't try to get it out yourself, ask someone who knows what he's doing.

Try to feed your PC more often, mine eats some eggs and bacon every day.
