Recently I have noticed a low "crunching" noise when I navigate slow, sharp turns. Any idea of what would make this noise?

Bad CV Joint

Look under the car at the axleshafts. More than likely one of the 4 joints has a torn boot and all the grease is either gone or contaminated to the point that the joint is worn out.

get the brakes checked out. or something to do with the tires maybe when you are turning, you are turning too much and the tire hits something internal. not a mechanic, so I don't know what it's called. also, your tires are probably needing to be straightened. either that you you need new ones, it could be wearing down. hurry up and fix it before it blows up in the middle of the freeway. good luck!

Could also be the wheel stops.

They are bolts that stop the wheel from turning too far. Usualy located at the backside botom of the caliper support.

yep, most likely a bad cv joint. the easiest wat to fix it is to replace the whole axle assembly with an aftermarket or rebuilt one from a national chain auto parts store who has reliable stuff & offers a good warranty ( 1yr/12000 miles or better)

IT COULD VERY WELL BE THE CV JOINT OR AXEL. ITS NOT TOO HARD TO FIX AND REALLY NOT TOO EXPENSIVE.
