Youth know everything...don't they?

2007-03-26 06:16:34 · answer #1 · answered by ? 6 · 1 2

The youth being the decision makers and the experienced ones giving advice.

We've seen time after time the same types of people running the country presenting the same tired ideas masked as fresh ones. It's time younger people who aren't afraid of having ideals and who aren't jaded and hopeless start having some say. The veterans can share experiences of what happened when they were in similar experiences; but the young people have to be the ones making the decisons.

Our country deserves a fresh start coming from a freh perspective.

The youth should run the country. The experienced have learned the wrong lessons from their experiences. They grew up and lived during the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War. So, during a time of peace, they have once again done to war. This time, though, the war was not intended to protect America from "foreign invaders", or to provide for the "common defense" . This war was waged with their former allies, who happened to sit on the oil depot of the Middle East.

I do think, if, we are youth generation, operating by the experienced country leaders to run in our country. Un -corrupted young youths can change a country more than better to the olders experienced country leaders. But, we need also experienced peoples (powerful) to help the youngesters.

Before you consider this question, Don, I think you should learn to spell "experienced". I think experience is the best teacher, but not the only teacher. An experienced leader who is open to other innovative thoughts would be the best combination.

ps for Timothy -- More progress was made during the baby boomer generation than all others combined. This includes industrial, intellectual, spiritual, and physical realms. What has generation X contributed to our world?

Since the Constitution provides no test for qualification, we can lawfully have a government consisting of idiots.

If we tried to have that type of governing body, we have to accept the fact that at least one of the group would be somewhat "smart."---and that individual would probably end up being the Leader.

In that case, would it be running the country by Youth or by Experience?

The masses are ill. Does a puppet ask if an old man or a young man should be puppetmaster? Recognize you are the puppet being held. Whether held by the right hand or the left hand of politics is immaterial. You are the slave. You are not free. You will never be free on the outside because you are a slave on the inside. As long as you are you will continue believing in thie fairy tale you were told back when you believed in santa claus about the govt. Or the right wanting "strong natinal defense" or the left's "equality for the workers". Voting is akin to asking the puppet which master it prefers. As long as we are all not facing our inner turmoil which is psychic, we will be plagued with wars, fear, sickness, and falsehood. This is how I see it and I must say it makes tons of sense to me. That what you want to experience, you experience. Make up your own mind.

Hi friend, what a great question. Made everyone think over. Well, now I think, should we, at our homes, ask our parents to just live quietly, for the sake of being alive, and do not take any decisions relating to house hold matters, or should we suppress our children, should we tell them to stop arguing and pondering over issues which may or may not be of concern to them in the family ? I am sure you would disagree with me here cause this is OUR FAMILY. So if our nation. OUR NATION IS A CLOSE KNIT FAMILY with diversity. Both parents and children make a happy family at home. So is the case with the nation. Children need guidance of parents / elders at home and elders need the support / physical or moral of their children. So is the case of the nation, I feel. Both have to go hand in hand. In a family our parents agree to our decisions if considered worth it. Similarly children most of the time agree with their parent’s decisions. So is the case of the nation. With the new generation child .. with his vigour / knowledge / latest up to date technological know how / boldness / courage / power … our mighty old or not so old fellows should pool in their resources like their maturity levels / their experiences / their learnt lessons / their gravity / their patience and earned over the years .. wisdom… both the generations should come together with their individual ideas and analyze situations and take decisions with mutual understanding. I think both of them play equally important roles in taking wise practical decision. Thanks.
