In a relationship, do women control men with sex? If so, why and for what purposes? For instance, could a woman keep the frequency to a minimum to keep the man wanting her more?

All women, all the time, even if they're giving it to you a lot, it's always to control the situation. Most do it subconsciously, but they all do it. Keeping it to a minimum is dangerous, because if he wants more and isn't getting it at home, he will look elsewhere.
Most do it to get treated nicely, or better, they feel more comfortable asking for anything, and if the guy is well fed, he will consider anything she asks, no matter how outrageous it may sound.

I don't know about everyone else, but no one controls anyone else between me and my husband. We both love sex and so we do it whenever we're both in the mood, and when one of us isn't in the mood we either don't have sex right then, or we do it to please the other person because we love each other. The only time withholding sex is ever brought up is when we're joking around.

And I don't think any man has ever wanted a woman LESS because she wouldn't have sex as often. Men don't rely on patterns nearly as much as visual stimuli.

No one person can be controlled unless they want to be controlled. The only way a woman can control a man by using sex as a weapon, is to extricate his penis and lock it in a safe until he gives in and does what she wants him to do.

It sounds like you aren't getting any. Honestly, if a man isn't getting sex from his wife/girlfriend/lover ... whatever they always go and find someone who is willing.
