My husband wants to have sex everyday to induce my labor, what do i do to get the energy to do it?

I was tired of being pregnant so I walk fastly around the block 4 times in a row hoping that would start something! 15 minutes after that I went to the hospital still with no signs of labor I just wanted to go hoping they would say ok its time and sure enough they did! By the time I got checked I was already 7 dilated!!!!! I was in shock!!!!!!!!! I had no pain or anything up until I was at 9! I sugguest walking! Unless I just lucked out with this pregnancy! You might want to forget the sex and conserve your energy, since you will really need it for the labor process and you won't be able to eat anything while in labor. I slept most of the day and all night for the couple of days before my first childbirth, and believe me, I needed every second of that sleep to get me through the sixteen hour labor.

Also, it's the semen that induces labor, not the physical motions of sex, so if you do decide to go along with your husband's idea, he doesn't have to take his time about it, if you know what I mean.

Finally, keep in mind that sometimes those things just don't really work. You can try the laxative syrup (get the doctor-approved one, I think it's called Carro), the spicy food, the walking, or even ask your doctor to strip your membranes. But really, there are no guaranteed solutions. Your baby will come when s/he's ready, and every day in the womb means a healthier baby.

He needs to let you finish out the last trimester in comfort.

Be a bottom, that's what I did. Just prop some pillows under your rear end and have him go at it.

I did it the day before I went into labor, it was 11 pm and 1:30 am, I woke up 6 centimeters dialated, we got to the hospital just in time before the water broke.
