some tasks are best left to pros - so ask your beautician or even a sales clerk which colour is right for you. this way, you'll feel secure knowing you have a professional opinion!

The most efficient way of finding the perfect match of makeup is not to use your face, but to use your inner wrist. that is the most pure skin on you and it really shows your natural tone. The most important thing is to not get a makeup too dark for your tone either because nobody likes to wear or see a "mask" so match it perfectly!!! So when you apply your foundation, just look in the mirror and see if you face is a different shade from your neck or under your chin!!

When you put foundation on your jaw bone, it should "disappear". If it is lighter or darker, than it doesn't match well. Your face shouldn't be too dark, but you also don't want it too light. If you tan your body but not your face, as I do, it is a good idea to try to match your foundation to your neck, so that your face isn't much lighter than your body so it looks more natural.

Look at your face in natural light. Apply the makeup as you normally would, then take a handheld mirror outstide (in natural sunlight) and look at your face. You should see the difference (if there is one).
Another trick is to take a full frontal picture of your face and upper body (with a digital camera) and if your face seems brighter than your neck or the rest of your body, then your makeup is probably the wrong shade.
Hope that helps!

wel you could put a hand up to your face and check that way but it might not be accurate enough, however, you could also look and see, if it is a complete different colout to your neck, if it is i would advise you put some on your neck as it is very noticable, if you have foundation on hope i've helped :)
