You're strong enough to face Groudon now, assuming it's the first time you fight him (i.e, part of the plot and not an additional fight after the credits roll). I would recommend that you go on some rescues and visit the shop regularly so you have enough reviver seeds before you go to face Groudon. I'd recommend a minimum of 4. Also, be sure to pack some max elixirs and some apples, since the dungeon is very large. There are a lot of fire type pokémon, as well as rock and ground types, plus some grimer. By the end of the dungeon, you will be fighting against golems, sandslash and onix. There is a save point after the 23rd or 25th floor, so be sure to take advantage.

After the save point, there is a songle floor dungeon with onix and steelix. There is a lot of money on this floor but nothing else item wise. You'll find Charizard and Tyranitar, triggering an event that will take you to Alakazam and then into your battle against groudon. Groudon is a ground type, but its ability brings the sunshine up. This iwll limit what water attacks will do to it. If you can, go for grass and ice attacks. Also, be sure that your Cyndaquil has smokescreen. Groudon has immense power and if you can disable it's ability to hit, you will be at an advantage. Other disabling moves (A swablu with sing or any pokémon with attract) will also be a huge asset.

You should bring a water-type or a grass-type to battle all of the ground-types there. Good luck!
