I know what you mean, and if you read some questions and answers on Politics, you'll see real controversy and negativity.
What keeps me coming back?
First, because i like to read and try to understand the diferent points of view, if you eliminate some really radical positions, you can understand some ideas that can be diferent than yours but still have good arguments. And the same about my answers, i believe i can make others to see the problems from a diferent point of view, wich is so necesary in the world.
Second, i would like to think that some answer can help someone to figure out some real problem in life. In fact i have answered some real things that are happening in my life, and i have found some interesting answers.

For me it's interesting! It is also amazing to see all the difference of opinions people have. I mean they could have a solid black and white answer in front of them and still argue, so why not give your two cents!
