I just choose not to vote for this reason. Does that make me a bad person?

No you are not a bad person. The sad thing is they all lie. The rest of us who do vote try and figure out which one is lying the least.

Normally people choose to only votes a straight party ticket instead of WHO is best qualified. Therefore if they are only listening to someone in their own political party that is telling them lies, they often either just vote straight party or choose not to vote at all.
Before my grandfather ever took me to vote my first time he told me, "If you do not vote you have no right to complain about anything that is going on" I take those words to heart.

They all lie, it's our job is to figure out who lies the least and pick him or her :(
