This morning because I was having my period but no cramping (I usually have a day of excrutiating pain once a month). I got two lines, as in pregnant. I noticed the box said it would expire in 2 months. So I went to the store bought a nice fresh box, waited 7 hours and took another test. It said not pregnant. (I was preg last month for a couple of weeks but had a miscarriage and have no hcg left from that episode) Any advice? (The doctor doesn't want to see me for two weeks)

I don't want to be discouraging - I'm trying to conceive as well - but I don't think you are probably pregnant. You know your body better than anyone, but if you are having your period and the test says negative, your chances are pretty slim. However, since you did have one positive result - and false positives are very unusual - I'd say get another test and use your first morning urine to test. If the test says negative but you really feel that you are pregnant, treat your body as though you are until your appointment. Baby dust...

I haven't heard of a false positive. But who knows it sounds like your body is going through a lot right know. Did you take the first positive test in the morning. If so they say you have more HCG in your pee in the morning. That might be why you got the positive. I would try another test first thing in the morning. If it positive likely hood is that you are pregnant. Also you could go to a urgent care and they can do a blood test and tell you if you are pregnant with in a couple of hours. Hope things turn out all right!

It's possible the HCG wasn't concentrated enough in your urine for the second test. Usually it's recommended to not uringate for 4 hours before a test or use the first mornin urination. If you are very early in pregnancy, this can make a huge difference.

It's highly unlikely that the first pregnancy test gave you a false positive. That's very rare if not unheard of. It's also possible that you have had a miscarriage. I hope not!

Another test w/ first morning urine should give you a more accurate answer.

Ok, this happened to me after a miscarriage. But we continued to try. So I myself was confused. So I waited a LONG 7 days and took another, then another. They all came back +. Then went to the doctor the following week. Hello, was pregnant. A long 7 years of trying and 2 miscarriages. Finally. Now 8 more years of trying, boom baby boy 6 months old now.

Try with FMU again. drinking alot in order to need to go potty again dulites the HGC levels in your pee that is why they recommend FMU.....i would say it woul be pretty accurtat though since the test had not expired yet.
