True love in part may be the unconditional feeling that you feel for another person. You don't have reasons for loving, you just do.

Well my friend, that is a question for the ages. At the risk of sounding smug, I have been lucky enough to find and cherish true love.

I don't think I can say how it might feel for others. I assume it comes in may shapes and sizes.

For me it goes like this:

1. She loves me for who I am, not as an idealized person she hopes I will become.
2. I want to kiss her when I see her (almost five years later), and we can kiss for hours.
3. She gives me the benefit of the doubt even when I am acting like an ***.
4. My passion for her knows no bounds and we experiment freely.
5. We never do anything malicious to each other.
6. We cover each other's back without fail.
7. We have an almost uncontrollable urge to touch.
8. She makes me smile even when she's not around.
9. I want to do things for her.
10. I am the best version of me when I am with her.
11. We respect each other as individuals and are in the relationship my choice, not need.
12. Did I mention the kissing?!?

I could go, but I think I have made my point (pardon me if I was overly maudlin). True loves sees you and loves you for who you are not who it wants you to be.

this is the most simplistic answer ever but FOR ME. True love is when you care about the other person more than you care for yourself...... and hopefully the feeling is reciprocated. I used to work with the homeless and once i met this old homeless couple, both were alcoholics. For any of you who know anything about addicition this will astound you. They had a tiny bit of cheap vodka left and were arguing over who should get it. Each wanted the other to have the last hit. that is unheard of for addicts who always put the addiction before anything. It may seem like a strange example but they were my definition of true love. A love that had somehow conquerd even addiction. Bless 'em.

True love is when u realize you have found the person whom u cant imagine your life being ANY better without. You dont merely complete eachother, you COMPLIMENT eachother. You feel yourself striving to be the best person u can ever be, because you feel that is what he or she deserves...the best. You know you're truly in love when even after your arguments, you still have the butterflies in your stomach & in fact, arguments strangely bring u even closer after everything is resolved. Finding true love is having that person who u are never ashamed to say i'm sorry to, & u honestly try your hardest to never make the same mistake again.

You just know- but remember true love only lasts for about 2 year. Until the infatuation is gone. Then is life and you have to learn how to live with the person and love them in a deeper and much different way.

When your past the fighting, when you know each other, when you can sit down with them and talk about problems, etc.
When your heart tells you and every fiber of your being says.."I cannot live without them."

When you ask yourself “am I in love?" most likely it means that you’re not, because when you are in love you already have no questions, as this feeling is too obvious, so as to leave any doubts.
