now i am asking u is who do u think is most under rated defender and why.
for me it has got to be Aston Villa's Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry is consistently good, I always have him in the fantasy football team for the last couple of years. Another good defender is Steve Finnan, hardly ever mentioned but very rarely left out of the Liverpool team..

As far as England selection go' s Jamie Carrager, but Carra gets more recognition than team-mate Steve Finnan who is equally consistant week after week for Liverpool.

jamie carrager.game for game he has been (along with terry)one of the most consistent defenders in Europe.he is comfortable in any back 4 position or you could say a "utility" player.once you have that utility tag for you cant be said to world class for some silly reason.but for the record
