we are going to Murcia in Spain next week but neither of us have been before, can anyone tell me what it is like?

Assuming you are flying into Murcia airport you won't actually be seeing Murcia's best feature first.

I live near Benidorm which is a bit further north. It's a beautiful part of the world. The weather is a bit unpredictable this time of year. For example today it's raining but yesterday it rained briefly in the morning, we had beautiful sunshine most of the day then a light shower later. Mostly the weather's pretty good though. Spanish people are generally extremely friendly and you will probably find if you are staying in an area that's popular with tourists that there will be plenty of English speakers there.

Enjoy your holiday.
