since becoming pregnant my skin looks horrible any advice on skin products. went to italy for weekend and skin started to clear up been back 1 day and brake out again i feel like staying in all day its getting me down (im 16 wks)

OH MY GOD...ME too! They say it's a sign you're having a girl....(which I am). I used noxema, & soap, & face cleansers....morning & night....it's getting better at week 23, but I hate it.
It's on my chin, forehead, & chest!

FYI - I wasn't saying that it's a definite sign you're having a girl...just the old wives tale :)

Unfortunately it's hormones. They always say that you're supposed to have that maternal glow but that's not always the truth. Just make sure you use a good skin product, use a lotion with a good SPF when you're in the sun and look on the bright side, at least your hair will be luxurious (also due to the hormones.) Good luck with your pregnancy.

ha, i got that and i'm 33 weeks!! well, 34 now. anywayz, i'm STILL waiting for that 'pregnancy glow' ppl keep on about. try any tea tree product and it should clear up a bit, not much tho. but as the weathers getting warmer try going outside more! sounds like the sun seems to have done the trick while u were in Italy (lucky bugger)
to add to tracy, i'm having a girl too!!!! must b a sign. sorry if u didn't wana kno!

that isn't a sign you are having a girl whoever said that (i had the same problem and had a boy), it's due to hormones in pregnancy, i had rather spotty skin until about 18 weeks then my skin cleared up, i used a combination of clean and clear facial scrub, and clean and clear wipes. don't worry it will go soon

I started using the Clinique system when I got pregnancy acne and it cleared up in a few days. It started about the same time as yours did, too.

I had spotty skin throughout all of my pregnancies and had 3 sons , u cant tell what your having just cos u have spotty skin ... hmm doh... just your usual remedies , ask your midwife , Dr or pharmacist ...

Don't listen to her. When you find out anything let me know!!! I have that problem and with dark skin it looks really bad because i get dark spots!
