there may be an obstruction in your airway? or an injury to your back and something is out of place, see a chiropractor or a friend who knows how to crack backs, I have to have mine cracked all the time.

i have the same problem after an injury to my back. i have had x-rays and nobody has given me any answers but one doctor did say that it could be stress, when u get stressed your muscles tighten and when you breath in your muscles are being stretched and your ribcage is expanding the clicking maybe caused by air in between joints.

i broke 5 ribs just coughing violently and one on my side under my arm clicked in and out it became a bit of a party piece it can take weeks to heal properly

hopefully before that,
get someone to drive you to an emergency room.
