Will birth control after birth regulate you?

I am wondering if going on birth control will regulate my cycle after having my son in Jan. I havent had my period since before getting pregnant and would like it to come back and get on a schedule again...Will that help push mother nature along?

No Im not breastfeeding. He is a bottle baby since we tried breastfeeding his firstday but by day two he wanted nothing to do with it.

I do not think birth control would make a difference. Are you breast feeding? If so you period will probably not return to normal until a few months after you stop breast feeding. I do not think birth control would effect that.
