Did you even read the story? Do you not even remember the election?

It is simple. Sunni leaders before and after the election were asked to participate in the government of Iraq. Some chose to enter politics, others chose to hold out and engage in violence. It would be like Clinton sitting down with the IRA and asking them what it would take to have them give up their guns and enter politics instead.

That is all the story was acknowledging....that some of the current insurgents were at one time approached and asked to enter the political process, but instead chose to stay out of politics.

Cool things are going better than I thought that means even the insurgents realize that the new Iraqi Government is real or has power.

This is a good thing plus they did not kill him it is a further indication of victory.

You guys are odd turning every victory into defeat.

We'll say what we always say:

1.) You should read before you comment. This is nothing new and has been going on since early 2006. Did that escape your eagle eye?

2.) Calling people names like Repuks is a reportable offense so we'd suggest that you cut it out before someone reports you to Yahoo and they toss you out again.

Don't trust it. There must be something up. Bush is evil so it must be a trick. He's going to use the talks to get the insurgents on his side in his evil plan for the world. We are all going to die if we don't worship him.

Non va bene, secondo me.

When trying to create peace in a foreign country, it is wise to talk to everyone involved, even the opposition.
