At the top of the day, it is your choice and each person can do is present their opinion and enjoy on this drawback. Personally, I would not abort as I do not see Down's syndrome as a extreme sufficient incapacity to justify it. In one other 2 weeks, your little one is possible and stands a well hazard of survival external of the womb. Several infants have survived in neonatal in depth care models from 22 weeks gestation onwards. Whilst there are a few wellness headaches many times related to the syndrome, plenty of Downs youngsters reside enormously pleased lives. I've identified a few in my existence and I can truthfully say that they have been plenty happier than a few of the unaffected youngsters I realize. They also are very loving. My mum is aware of a Downs woman in her past due twenties who's honestly an actress and has her possess residence. I could endorse you speak to a counsellor earlier than doing whatever drastic as they're neutral and will present a few quite well recommendation. In addition to this, you might move and notice your physician and uncover out what taking good care of a baby with Downs honestly entails. At the top of the day, that is nonetheless your little one. Abortion isn't whatever to be taken evenly and will purpose you everlasting mental harm. If you make a decision to hold together with your being pregnant, if it is problematic or now not, you'll regulate to having a baby who demands slightly additional care. I desire you manipulate to arrive a choice that you're pleased with and want you all of the high-quality for the long run.

If the baby's weight is fine then you are fine. With my first I started at 136 lbs. 9 months later I weighed 147. My baby weighed 6lbs and 13 ounces. He was and still is perfect!
Dont worry.

There are really so many variables at play you will have a hard time comparing to others. Your own body shape and diet will have some impact, and could result in less gain than you would see in others.

Your doctor seems comfortable, but if you have concerns, maybe you should discuss your diet with him and see if there are things you should start consuming and things you shouldn't. They might advise a higher calorie diet, or less 'diet-like' foods. Given them a call and see what they recommend.

If doc says baby is fine, i wouldn't worry. Some ladies don't gain alot. Could be your own body. If you are worried, eat more, have a good time with ice cream and chocolate.
