Most gay men do not "fear" love.
Instead gay men live in a homophobic, bigoted "society" in which a "love-based" realationship with another man is still "dangerous".
Many gay men are "waiting" to come out of the closet, NOT to make a declaration of individuality or identity, but so they can share the gift of love openly with another individual - without "fear".

There are no findings that men who live by the bay are any more afraid of love than, let's say, men who live in the city. Bay men might have better tans though.

Gays have many intimacy isssues. I like to think we're a good ten years behind in emotional development (so if you're 26, you'll act 16 etc). We've kept things so close, its hard to break that, and let someone 'in' to know us, in all aspects. There are many guys that are looking for love, and a long term relationship, but most are looking for one time affairs... That, I don't have an answer to. Interesting question, thanks.

yes, they are.
in my experience.
it's about what others think.
too many gays emphasize what others think and
ultimately, that affects personal relationships between
two people.
nothing would please me more than to have someone
i could give the keys to my heart.
gays have a very hard time of having true love.
while it does happen, usually that is not the case.

i doubt it...
men are like bus stops...if you missed the one you wanted, another one will be by in just a few minutes.
