If these two teams were matched up in the finals, who would would win?

The '94 Knicks would win. There is absolutely no question about it. They were the team that knew how to grind it out, night in and night out. They had two 7-game series in the '94 playoffs and they went 1-1. They beat the Bulls in Game 7 at Madison Square Garden and lost to the Houston Rockets in Game 7 at The Summit. When you look at the players that were on the '94 roster, you can see it's a no-brainer. That team had Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, John Starks, Greg Anthony, Doc Rivers, Charles Smith, and the list goes on and on. All bonded as one defensive unit and were defined as the big, bad bullys on the block. The '99 Knicks team just got lucky with a few breaks along the way. Without that Allan Houston shot in Game 5 of the '99 1st round playoffs, there was no chance for them to go that far to get to the Finals.

94 Knicks would win, but it wouldn't go seven.

Ewing was younger and healthier in 94. That alone makes all the difference.

1994, they had a better and a more rugged team. Plus Ewing was 5 years younger.
