People here should REALLY get their genre definitions straight!! If the question is about HEAVY metal, how can you answer metallica?! Not to mention that some of the answers are even NU metal. Come on, get real!!
Out of strictly heavy metal, I'd say:
Iron Maiden - Wickerman or
Hammerfall - Legacy of Kings or
Judas Priest - Painkiller
or something along those lines. These are all real classics. Some would mention Manowar, but they're not my personal taste.

Tough one- so much to choose from. I'd have to say Enter Sandman (Metallica), too. Partly because it kicks ***, but my wife likes it to. Runners up:
