Translation, why arent people trying to work out their marital problems?

It seems that people automatically assume they are going to get no where fast, so they try to delay it untill it blows up and causes a chain reaction creating the eventual divorce.

As soon as a problem arises, people rush to the divorce lawyer. I don't think people try as hard as they could at their relationships. It's also way too easy to get a divorce. I think it should be hard to get a divorce, and even harder to get married.

We no longer have the same morals that once were. We don't have the understanding that people change, no one stays the sameand you don't just head for the door when it happens. Things are difficult but we tend to take the easy way out. Let's face it as well. A woman was to find a husband. The husband provided, things weren't based on bliss and love as much as they are today, they were greatly survival based. Women took care of the kids, house, animals, gardens...they worked as a team depending on each other for their own survival. We really don't need anyone but ourselves as a whole anymore. We have so many opportunities. There are those who cherish marriage and what it stands for, but really....we are more caught up in ourselves now a days.

Because people are hooking up and getting married so fast and young....they don't take the time to get to know one another. I think they are more concerned with the 'wedding' then the 'marriage'. And it's just so easy to throw in the towel when the going gets tough.

Our generation has more money? Divorce is expensive, and couples have to decide if it's worth the money. If divorce was cheaper, believe me, there'd be WAY more divorces!
