what do you need to do to become a automobile designer?

Go to College,
I have been working as a designer for various automotive companies for the past 20 years. A 2 yr college degree minimum, 4 year much preferred. Take some Computer aided design classes. The industry is really hurting these days, its tuff to get in and even tuffer to keep a job. Think also Aeronautics as a possibility.
