I have a friend, her name is Lauren and she can so every thing I can do, but better. And just to make this clear, I am honestly not jealous of her. She was recently in play. Our school play. She was Sandy in Grease. And the guy she likes is brothers with the guy I like and I think the guy I like likes her! I dont know what to do! Suggestions? Also everyone compares me to her! I wasn't going to the school when the auditions went on, so I got stuck with backstage. And backstage is important right? Not to her. My mom gave me roses to make me feel better and Laurens dad was like "Even you got roses?!" And then the next night he was like " you did good this time." I want to hang with her, but it's hard!

Maybe you and your friend need to sit down and have a good talk.
You may also need to find some interests that are different from hers and that will showcase what you're really good at.

Lauren's dad is insensitive. OF COURSE backstage is important, the show couldn't have gone on without you! The guy you like is going to like whoever he wants and there's not much you can do about that... maybe go for the guy SHE likes? Haha, then YOU would be the winner, having something SHE wanted! Let her know how it feels for a change.

hang out with her but makesure your busy so you both can keep your mind off of it. if she keeps on bragging or talking about it let her know how you feel. tell her the truth.
